JOB TITLE: Process Engineer

Key Responsibilities Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to Petrofac’s ‘Eight Golden Rules’.‘Live’ Petrofac core values and apply them in day-to-day work. Work under supervision on assigned scopes from initial selection studies and field development studies through concept to detailed design, commissioning and operational support. Work under supervision on the specification and design of all upstream oilfield equipment including but not limited to:Separation, Compression, Dehydration and Effluent clean upWater injection, Chemical injection and Safety systemFlare and utility systemsOther associated equipment and systems within the Oil and Gas industry.Provide process engineering technical support to, and implementing instructions from, the Lead Engineer, or other designated engineer responsible for allocating work.Contribute to the development of the plans, schedules and estimates for the individual workscopes.Liaise with other disciplines in the execution of the work.Liaise with the client as required.Ensure that all process design changes are captured by the change control process.Ensure that all process engineering work is carried out in accordance with asset priorities and schedules as set out in the integrated plan.Maintain the required technical quality of work.Ensure that work output complies with the relevant procedures and specifications.Ensure as far as possible all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.Undertake site surveys as required.Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to the scope of the discipline.Generation of process engineering deliverables as required.Review inter-discipline deliverables and information from a process engineering perspective.Assist the Lead, Principal or Senior Discipline Engineers when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties.Be conversant with the Petrofac Business Management System (BMS).
Essential Qualifications And Skills
A Process or Chemical Engineering Degree (BEng/BSc minimum)Working towards IChemE Chartered Engineer status preferred. Necessary certification for travel offshore preferredExperience within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry is preferred but not essentialRelevant experience should be in the knowledge and application of process engineering principles to engineering projects from conceptual to detailed engineering stages.Suitable experience within other engineering industries will be considered where appropriate.Brownfield project experience desirable.Able to account for current and new legislation and standards.Must be willing to travel offshore/siteCapable of representing Petrofac OPO and Client to business associates in a professional mannerComputer literate in Microsoft Office Applications and relevant discipline specific software Motivated to deliverAbility to investigate and interpret dataAbility to be responsive and open to changing circumstancesExcellent interpersonal skillsDemonstrates cross-cultural awareness and an ability to build effective working relationships across our global business. Good communication skills.
