Job Description: Overview
Element has an opportunity for a HSEQ Coordinator to join our team. If you have a NEBOSH General Certificate, are at the start of your career and are eager to develop your skills in a specialised industry, then this is the opportunity for you!
As a HSEQ Coordinator you will be involved hands on in the safety and quality management systems. Assisting operational and technical people in compliance with ISO 17025 and ISO 45001. You will be ensuring items of equipment are calibrated, documents are reviewed, holding discussions with suppliers and placing purchase orders, attending meetings as required for the job role and conducting inspections.
As a HSEQ Coordinator you will be trained to be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, technical skills, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.
Conduct statutory safety inspections and quality inspections Maintain approved supplier list Obtain quotations and raise purchase orders for area of responsibility Participate in external audits Conduct internal audits Manage maintenance and calibration of equipment Point of contact for safety when contractors are on site ensuring permits to work are in place Writing and maintaining risk assessments Ensure PPE is maintained and ordered as required Document control of standards and procedures Organise training as required
Skills / Qualifications
2+ years’ experience in similar role Proactive attitude Ideally a working knowledge of chemical safety Able to work under pressure with changing demands NEBOSH General Certificate IT competent (excel, word, MS Teams) Able to empathise with and assist others to ensure compliance with safety and quality systems Good communicator both written and oral Good administration skills
